Hello,
Could you explain how master-slave work? Can we use it without an external load balancer? If we use an external load balancer is it possible to generate a JA4 fingerprint? How can we see logs centrally for each instance?

Hi r_0xc137,
For the master-slave setup, an external load balancer is required.
You can refer to this tutorial for the master-slave and high availability configuration:
https://safepoint.cloud/discussion/DQ49tTjuc7#Prerequisites
Regarding centralized management, the current SafeLine Pro version and below do not provide a multi-node centralized management platform. So at the moment, there is no built-in way to centrally view logs from each instance.
However, you can explore using our API to build your own unified management, configuration, and data analysis system.
API documentation:

Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.

We use 2 instances with nginx as an external LB. A few months ago we tested safeline with 1 instance and public IP. It worked well and significantly decrease bot count on our site. Now we want to test the cluster for high availability. But I'm afraid that the safeline without the client's JA4 fingerprint is not as efficient as it was before. How can we use a JA4 fingerprint in a clustered installation?

Our engineer recommends using Nginx as a Layer 4 TCP/TLS passthrough load balancer, without terminating TLS at Nginx.
TLS needs to be terminated at the SafeLine nodes instead. This way, each SafeLine instance in the cluster can get and use the real client JA4 fingerprint.
