Makes it sense to use safeline to protect an SMTP server?

Hello, i have a Safeline PRO licence, and I am happily protecting a few web applications i manage.
I do have an SMTP Server as well, and would be nice to protect SMTP server as well, against login attempts from malicious IPs or code injection. Can Safeline be applied?

SafeLine protects web apps by filtering HTTP traffic. SMTP does not use HTTP/HTTPS to transmit emails. So I'm afraid it can't.
